The whole virtual world is laughing on a picture that came up from a Danish supermarket. In the time when people are searching for toilet paper, some other products are hoarding very fast too. Those things are masks, respirators, single-use gloves, and, of course, hand sanitizer. The pandemic coronavirus put the whole world in panic, so they are stocking up on those things like crazy. But, the owner of a Danish supermarket has found a solution, and yes, it is a pricing trick.
The first place where the picture was posted was on Twitter. Below you can see the post.
A supermarket in Denmark got tired of people hoarding hand sanitizer, so came up with their own way of stopping it.
1 bottle kr40 (€5.50)
2 bottles kr1000 (€134.00) each bottle.

The name of the supermarket is ‘Rotunden,’ the most beautiful market in Denmark. It is an exclusive shopping environment that offers respect for the busy lives of the people. According to this, the owner wanted to protect the needs of all costumers, not only his interest. Humanity is the primary man’s feature.
The trick is consisted of selling one piece of hand sanitizer for 40 DKK, which is $5.73, and two pieces of the same product for 1,000 DKK, which is $143.
Recently, every supermarket in the world is fighting with costumers who are hoarding certain products. Some of the costumers are buying the whole stock the supermarket has, and for the next customer, they don’t have anymore. All of the owners are trying to cope with these people, and one of them came up with a perfect idea and stopped people buying it in enormous amounts.
The supermarket published on its Facebook page the motivation and the purpose behind the trick.
Besides, we present to you a translation of the whole post.
We have a great responsibility to keep the business running, and we can only do that with everyone’s help and understanding. I can help in the following way:
We ask all customers to respect the distance between each other and our co-workers;
Sprinkle (likely sanitize or wash) hands off at the entrance and use gloves;
If you are a family, please allow only one person to purchase the purchases if possible;
There may be times when we limit how many customers we accept in the store at one time. We will keep you informed about any operating changes on Facebook.
Take care, and thank you for your understanding.’
Most of the people accepted this idea and gave positive comments. But, also, some people thought that the owners could invent better ideas to stop hoarding.
Take a look at the comments, and you may think of another, better idea.
Brilliant idea. Instead of making multiples cheaper, or supermarkets should do this. That would stop the panic buying.

Magnificent idea! We should do this in UK (although the shelves are bare anyway 🤪) but we could apply it for toilet roll, cans of soup, pasta…the essentials lol 🧻💷🧻🧻💎#panicbuyuk

Would work wonders for toilet paper too – limit the volumes and gets people to behave… #colruyt #delhaise #aldi #lidl #carrefour#vrt #vtmnieuws
Lets build on this and get this concept going everywhere!!!

This has my support. We need to sanitize our shopping with such measures.

Good idea, but difficult for people like my sister who has to buy for my housebound parents. She managed to buy 2 in the end at the chemist, but they did have to check my dads cpr number on the database to confirm he’s classed as terminal
