Bon Jovi’s Community Restaurant Offers Free Lunch For People In Need

We all know Jon Bon Jovi, the celebrated musician. But only a few people are familiar with all the incredible things he has done to make the world a beautiful place for living. His foundation was founded in 2006, and since then, it aims to support community efforts to fight against homelessness and poverty. JBJ Soul Kitchen is a community restaurant and one of the most prominent deeds of the foundation. Right here, the people in need may receive meals that are free of charge.

They opened the first restaurant in the Red Bank area (New Jersey) in October 2011. When Hurricane Sandy affected the area near Thomas River in 2016, the foundation opened its second restaurant.

In this restaurant, you don’t need to reserve a table in advance. The principle is first come first served, but sometimes the priority is given to those who are struggling financially.

The meals are nutritious and delicious. Their produce is organically grown in the garden that owns the restaurant. The menu got the inspiration inspired by local American cuisine, and it consists of three courses.

In January 2019, the family members and the government workers who were affected by the federal government shutdown received free meals as well.
