1/2 lemon

1 c almond or coconut milk
1/4 c of water
1 tbsp fresh grated or turmeric powder
1/4 tbsp fresh grated or ginger powder
1/4 tbsp vanilla
dash cardamom
dash cinnamon
dash clove
2 tbsp honey


Simmer all ingredients for roughly 1 minute, then let cool and drink. Enjoy!

3. Turmeric Tea


1/2 tbsp fresh grated turmeric
raw honey
black pepper
1 c hot water
lime, to taste


Boil water, add turmeric, let simmer 5 minutes.
Strain, then add other ingredients to preferred taste. Enjoy!

Add turmeric to your morning eggs!

5. Turmeric Soup


4 c broth, bone or veggie
1 knuckle chopped or grated turmeric
black pepper, optional


Simmer turmeric and broth for 15 minutes, strain.
Add black pepper or other seasonings to taste.

6. Turmeric Smoothie


2 tbsp coconut flakes
1 1/2 c frozen mango or pineapple
1/2 c almond milk or coconut milk
1 tbsp fresh or powdered turmeric
1 tbsp hemp seed hearts
1 tbsp maca root
dash black pepper


Put all the ingredients in a blender, and blend them well! Enjoy!

7. Turmeric Kefir

Add a tsp turmeric to your kefir, and enjoy!

To get the most of what turmeric has to offer, use it to enhance many of the current ho-hum dishes on your table, such as fish dishes or any meat for that matter; turmeric can add delicious complexity to mashed dishes like potatoes or cauliflower, sautés with onions, broccoli, carrots, or bell peppers.
